Dr. Wayne D. Cornelius, founder and Chief Executive Officer, is the highly talented core of the technology development staff with more than 35 years of experience with device and technology research and development. Dr. Cornelius hands-on experience covers a wide range of disciplines from ion and electron beam sources to linear accelerator design; from electromagnet and permanent magnets to rf and microwave components and systems (resonant cavities, waveguides, and coaxial components); from computer simulation of physical systems to mechanical and electrical engineering and engineering design; from plasmas and plasma diagnostics to medical diagnostic devices; from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) instrumentation to particle beam diagnostics; from vacuum system design to cryogenic system design; from particle beam transport design to laser optical pumping. This wide range of experience provides a unique perspective that enables significant innovation to develop new technologies and devices.  Dr. Cornelius also participates in community outreach to interest students in careers in physics.

Susan R. Cornelius, M.Ed., SPHR

Susan R. Cornelius, founder and Chief Operations Officer, is an entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in finance, contracts and grants, market development, sales, operations, supply chain management, coaching, and strategic human resources. For our clients, Susan is the primary contact on funding, contracts and grants; and consults and coaches to resolve organizational effectiveness issues. Susan designs operations and sales solutions to accelerate clients’ strategic business and product goals. On behalf of Scientific Solutions, Susan volunteers and works with a variety of non-profit organizations ranging from The Nicolas Connor Institute, the Department of Surgery at UCSD Healthcare, and The United States Marine Corps.
